Tax

It drives me nuts when ppl tell me that they hate paying tax, that they don’t want to pay tax.

咁你唔好睇醫生丫笨!Punch

好似美國咁咪仲死。But 人家又會話,咁我寧願自己俾錢去買我想買既保險,instead of being forced into a medical system.

But the whole point is that EVERYONE can have access to the system ar ma. I know that to you, who is a higher than average income person, think that this is not fair to you. 人家就是buy用者自付既 system, 咁你日日揸車條路應該就要變成 toll road, 將 toll 到既錢去 pay for the maintenance for that particular road. 人哋其他人住第二度嗰d人dtax money 夠唔應該用去維修你用嗰條路啦。

邊有得咁計,this is 群體生活嘛。

I think that tax is good. It helps to equalize the rich and the poor. Of course, that’s provided that the authorities are using the tax money wisely and not wasting them on ppl who 厄綜緩,which, sometimes is too much of an assumptions… unfortunately…

I dun mind paying tax... but i have to say the tax declaration system in Can really is troublesome...
Esp. When u work overseas... u still have to file tax return... when u call them to ask them stuff.. no one really knows the answer.. or at least there is no consistency between the answers that you get.
There r also gaps in the system.. which i know some ppl exploit... but instead of coming up with a way to catch those ppl. Law abiding citizens like me have to go thru all the trouble to deal with their requests... it is almost like if u r law abiding.. u put yourself in the spotlight for them to scrutinize you... but if u exploit the gaps, u r free to go as u please.. also... when they send u a contact no... it is always just a us/can accessibleno that u cannot access from overseas even tho the letter comes from the international tax office.....like... why bother sending me a 1-800 number that i cannot contact from overseas at all??

Seriously... i think the workers need to be more trained.. at least know their stuff.... then i dun mind so much going thru the process again and again... but really... it could run more smoothly if ppl r better trained.....

I didn't know that you can't call 1-800 from overseas. I just thought that it will be charged as long-d call. So much about my international experience. haha...
At least you just have to figure this out once la. Went through the trouble once and you are set forever... well... at least till there's significant changes in the system. Probably not during our working life time, I hope.
